Well here we are at last and able to finally get out on the shore. It has been a really tough year for us all and I am sure this comes as a great relief. I have been in touch with BASC and have reviewed current guidance. There is little bar the obvious about the risks of travelling together or sharing a hide. The simple fact is that ours is a solitary outdoor sport that carries low levels of Covid risks. If we are honest we must accept that our risks are run in the car parks when blethering about life rather than at any other time. So please give each other space and respect social distancing. If you are travelling from south of the border I ask that you familiarise yourself with Scottish Covid rules.
Last season I asked that we all observed the highest standards of behaviour In the knowledge that our sport is under greater pressure than ever. That remains the case and hence my request stands. Another season without complaints to distract the committee would be welcome.
I hope to see you on the shore but stay safe, shoot straight, and let’s hope the geese oblige.
